First off, to provide quality technical support services, it is important that the expectations of the customer are managed. This means that they need to be aware of the best method of contact to receive technical support, they need to know the hours when technical support is available, they need to understand what types of services technical support can offer, what the response time will be, and what languages technical support is offered in.

Quality technical support providers make it easy for clients and customers to contact them. Email addresses should not be hidden and neither should phone numbers. Phone numbers could be made available on the product, and an email support system could be built into software if that is the product being used.

Quality technical support providers are responsive to their clients, even if the problem is beyond their capabilities. The faster the client receives a response the better. When a problem cannot be solved through technical support, they will provide an alternative solution or another department to contact who will be more helpful with the problem.
