PBS Barbados - Three Tips for Designing an Effective Flyer

PBS Barbados is one of the Caribbean’s leading provider in business solutions and integration services. They have been serving the companies in the Caribbean for over 40 years and represent a number of large global brands including Xerox, Cisco, Oracle, GMC, Neenah and FedEx. One of the many services they provide to businesses is printing and document design and creation services. Here are three tips for designing and effective business flyer.
  • Because the content on flyers will generally be shorter, it is important to highlight titles and subtitles and write they key points being made in a short, direct, and bold manner. Avoid using all caps because this makes captions difficult to read and customers will pass over the flyer without learning any information.
  • Flyers should have some kind of deal or offer that encourages the customers to act. Discounts and attached coupons with expiration dates are a great way to encourage customers to act because feel like they are receiving a deal, but that deal expires meaning they have to act soon.
  • The content in flyers should be organized using text boxes, borders, and contrasting colors. Flyers do not need to be completely filled up with content and graphics, and some white space is good. However, all the content should be organized using formatting tools so that it is clear customers what is what. Formatting tools will also organize the flyer, making it easier to read.
PBS Barbados is a member of the PBS Group, which is one of the largest business solutions entities in the Caribbean and Central America.
